MARIA (MYRTLE) TOSTOWARYK

We, the Tostowaryk family sadly announce the peaceful passing of Maria (Myrtle) Tostowaryk (Long), at the Riverview Health Centre on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. She was 97 years of age.
Myrtle was born in Arbakka, MB on January 19, 1924 to parents, Nykola and Wasylka Tostowaryk.
Myrtle began her career in the hotel industry at the Fort Garry Hotel in Winnipeg and was promoted to the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal and the Chateau Laurier Hotel in Ottawa as Executive Housekeeper. After retirement she moved back to Winnipeg.
Our family extends our deepest gratitude to the staff at the Thorvaldson Care Center and to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Riverview Health Center for their wonderful care and compassion, making Myrtle's final days as comfortable as possible.
Due to Covid restrictions a private graveside service and burial will take place at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Cemetery in Arbakka, Manitoba on Saturday, June 26.

Myrtle is now in a place where there is no
pain or sorrow. May she rest in Peace.
