• I was extremely fortunate to have gone to school with Roman in the North End and work with him at Manitoba Lotteries. A friendly bear Roman always thought before he spoke. His wit, honesty and care for his friends was deep. He always looked you in the eye and let you know he cared. He was an old soul who left us too early. Thank you for being part of my life. • I was saddened to hear of Roman's passing. I have fond memories of him from Tyrsa Choir. He loved a good laugh and made people feel good about themselves. • I was privileged to work with Roman at Manitoba Lotteries from his first day until I retired in 2005. Roman was a true professional in all his approaches to the task at hand, always providing suggestions for improvements. He was kind and generous with his co-workers but a strong negotiator with vendors, sometimes coming across as stubborn but always the Professional. I enjoyed working with him and also met him occasionally outside work. He was always friendly with a good sense of humor. I will miss seeing him at Carpathia annual meetings.
