It broke your heart to leave us
And ours to let you go,
But you did not go alone.
My soul knows you are at peace,
But nothing is the same.
Gone are the days we used to share,
But in my heart everyday you're always there.
We will never be apart, because we had that special love.
You were so caring and generous, and asked nothing in return.
God has you in His keeping,
And we have you in our hearts.
We will love you and remember you
forever.
