JESSIE GARRETT IWASIUK
March 7, 1987 – June 26, 2021

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our son and brother Jessie.
Jessie was predeceased by his brother and best friend Joshua, grandma Jessie and grandpa Peter Iwasiuk, grandpa Wallace Webb and aunts, Clarice Lavallee and Pauline Heckert.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Charlene and Jerry, sisters, Jamie (Trevor) Monkman, Michelle (Adam) Polkowski, brother Jerry Jr., uncle Roman (Joyce) Iwasiuk, nephews, Cory (Liz), Anthony (Bethany), Trevor Jr. (Riley), Liam and Aiden, nanny Sarah Webb, best friends (cousins), Miranda, Michaela and Ryann Karatchuk, Frank McLeod (brother by choice), little buddy Madison and his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Jessie was born and raised in Selkirk, MB and employed with Badger Daylighting, a job he loved that took him all over Manitoba.
Jessie lived for his family, friends, and his Lola. He had a huge heart and cared deeply for the people in his life. As big a man he was, he was as gentle as a teddy bear, as tough as he liked to sound, he was very caring and had compassion for all. He worked hard and no matter how tired or busy he was, he was always there to help you with anything. If you needed the shirt off his back he would give it to you without expecting anything in return. Perfect strangers benefited by his help.
Anyone who knew Jessie will agree that he had a very contagious laugh. Whether you thought what he was laughing at or about was funny or not, you laughed with him. And YES, he loved to give people a hard time but only because he loved you and wanted you to be happy.
He had a passion for riding and enjoyed cruising the open road with his riding buddies which were many. When he wasn't riding he was talking and dreaming about the next ride.
He was most passionate about kids and we can all understand why, he was a just big kid at heart. Whenever he was around little ones, his eyes and smile would light up a room. The kids were always excited to see him. If they knew he was coming, they would anxiously watch for him and with the endless amount of energy he had, you would get tired just watching them play and most of the time he would outplay the kids!
When you were around Jessie no matter what mood you were in, he always knew how to make you laugh, his personality and heart were larger than life.
Cremation has taken place and service was held on Friday, July 2, 2021 at St. Clements Cemetery where Jessie and Joshua together have been laid to rest with Reverend Anthon Bouw officiating.
The family welcomes you to view the service and interment via the link on the Gilbart Funeral Home website which will be available by Saturday, July 3.
Jessie and Joshua are together again. Until we are together once more, may they rest in peace in the loving arms of our loving Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Condolences may be left on his tribute wall at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
