PAUL BELANGER

Paul Bélanger passed away on June 30, 2021, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born on June 15, 1950 to Florent and Léa Bélanger at St. Boniface Hospital. Paul attended école Provencher and collège St. Boniface and worked for the federal government where he taught french to civil servants. There he met his wife Debbie. He retired in the fall of 2004 and shortly after he began working in the language department of the Université de Saint-Boniface until March 2016. Debbie and Paul made wonderful trips. Paul enjoyed reading and spending time with his friends. What fun he had with the Louis Boys!
He will be greatly missed by his son Daniel and his sister Jacqueline, her family, as well as by Debbie's family and friends.
We are grateful for the support he received from his friends, Edwin and Noël, as well as the staff at Riverview.
Paul has chosen to donate his body to medical research.

PAUL BELANGER

René Perreault et Diane Sabourin - Posted by: René G PERREAULT (friend) on: Jul 03, 2021

  • Very sorry to hear of his passing. Unfortunately I was not able to visit him in hospital when I attended to do due to covid but left him a note telling him of my travels in the Arctic and later heard he had appreciated receiving my card. In school at Collège, he was always a fun guy to be around. He also lived in Norwood Flats as my wife and I did so would bump into him occasionally and catch up. I also taught French to English speaking staff at St. Boniface Hospital and he helped me with tips on the way to do it which I appreciated very much. All my sympathies to his entire family.
