Memories…Let them fill your mind,
warm your heart, and lead you through.

It is with an abundance of sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother at the age of 96.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Jules. Left behind to cherish her memory are her five children: Paulette (Dan), Margot, Andrée (John), Valerie (Bruce) and Gerard; seven grandchildren: Nika, Danielle, Jade, Isabeau, Luc, Michaela and Dane; and four great-grandchildren: Stacy, Shay, Westley and Kai. She also leaves to mourn her siblings: Marie-Ange, Maurice, Father Gérard and Marguerite; sister-in-law Patricia; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In accordance with Thérèse's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.

  • To Therese's family: Your mother was always a joy to talk to. She had so many interesting stores to share about her life. I loved sitting close to her during painting sessions with the Charleswood Art Group as she was so much fun to be around. She will be greatly missed! • Saying farewell to a loved one is painted with several brushes of various sizes …a sadness brush, a feeling-of-loss brush, and hopefully the biggest brush is the memories brush, filled with the happy times of a life well lived. Your mother’s life canvas is now completed, and it is nice to learn that her association with CAG was a pleasured part of her life. • Hello Dear Cousins and Family, So very sorry to hear that your Mom passed away. I have such very wonderful memories of your mom and dad out on the farm. It was always such fun to be in your home when we were all growing up and I have a scar to prove it too...but just remember that was Gerard's fault. Your family is in our prayers. God Bless - Posted by: Gary & Alice Allard (Nephew) on: Jul 08, 2021

  • So sad to hear of Matante leaving us; our thoughts and prayers are with you all. A lot of great memories from when the family was in the old house in Lido Plage. Funny, it's only now as I reminisce that I realize how different Uncle Jules and Matante were. One very quiet and always with a twinkle in her eye, the other not so quiet and always ready for a laugh or joke. On the few occasions we met in the past few years, I got the sense that Matante really wanted to talk to me, which made me feel good. Even if the conversation was short I always walked away with a smile. Our sincere condolences, Luc and Diane - Posted by: Luc Allard (Nephew) on: Jul 03, 2021
