ROSE MARIE BLOODWORTH
(nee THIESSEN)
March 8, 1957 - June 26, 2021
Rose is survived by her longtime husband and best friend of 48 years, Harry. She was a proud mom of her daughter Shylyte (Dave), son Shayne (Maureen) and three grandchildren, Ella, Max and Jack. She also leaves sister Jean (Bill) McLeod, brother Grant Thiessen (Nina), plus numerous nieces and nephews. Rose is predeceased by her parents, Abe and Katie Thiessen, plus many aunts and uncles.
The eldest child of Abe and Katie, Rose was born on March 8, 1957. She met her husband Harry Bloodworth and married young. They lived in Winnipeg prior to moving to St. Adolphe. There, after over 20 years, she retired from being "Miss Rose", the secretary at Ecole St. Adolphe School. Upon retirement they moved to their happy place, Winnipeg Beach.
Harry and Rose had spent years travelling by motorcycle, and later with their truck and trailer. Rose filled her leisure time reading, enjoying music, fishing and camping, hiking, and most recently in her "she-shed" painting rocks and gardening. She loved to cook, and share these delicious meals with anyone who entered her kitchen.
She will be missed by all her family, friends, coworkers, students and everyone who has had the privilege of knowing her.
As per her wishes, there will be no service and Rose will be returning home.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Deaf Centre Manitoba in memory of Rose.
