ROMEO ST HILAIRE
1933 - 2021

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Roméo St Hilaire who died peacefully on July 1, 2021, at the age of 88 years, with his family by his side.
He leaves in sorrow his beloved wife Simonne, his children, Luc (Cynthia St Hilaire), Gabrielle (Raymond Mulaire), Marc (Lorraine St Hilaire) and Francis (Cindy Epp) and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn his passing his brothers and their spouses, Raynald (Estelle), Antoine (Jeannette) and Fernand (late Gracia). He was predeceased by his sister Céline (late Gaston).
Roméo worked for the Department of Highways (Infrastructure) of the Government of Manitoba in a career that spanned 40 years. He instilled in his children a love of learning and a profound sense of duty and work ethic. We will remember him fondly for his passion for music and dance, his love of the outdoors and his deep generosity.
A ceremony will take place on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at the cemetery of the Roman Catholic Church in Sainte-Anne at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of a donation to the "Edouard and Marie-Ange St-Hilaire Trust Fund" (established to benefit persons who contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of the elderly), Francofonds, 101-205 Provencher Blvd., Winnipeg, MB R2H 0G4.

C'est avec regret que la famille de Roméo St Hilaire annonce son décès, le 1er juillet 2021, à l'âge de 88 ans, entouré de sa famille.
Il laisse dans le deuil sa tendre épouse Simonne, ses enfants, Luc (Cynthia St Hilaire), Gabrielle (Raymond Mulaire), Marc (Lorraine St Hilaire) et Francis (Cindy Epp) et de nombreux petits-enfants et arrière-petits-enfants. Il laisse aussi dans le deuil ses frères Raynald (Estelle), Antoine (Jeannette) et Fernand (feu Gracia). Il a été précédé par sa soeur Céline (feu Gaston).
Tout au long d'une carrière qui s'est échelonnée sur quarante ans, Roméo a oeuvré au sein du ministère de l'Infrastructure du gouvernement du Manitoba. Il a transmis à ses enfants un amour de l'apprentissage et une rigoureuse éthique de travail. On se souviendra affectueusement de sa passion pour la musique et la danse, son amour du plein air et sa générosité sans pareil.
Une cérémonie aura lieu au cimetière de l'Eglise catholique de Sainte-Anne le mardi 6 juillet 2021 à 13h.
