RUBIN MELTZER
April 6, 1952 - July 2, 2021
He is mourned and remembered by his sisters, Shirley and Clare (Frank); sister-in-law Lorraine; nephew Justin; nieces, Laurie, Rebeccah, Lisa, Caithlin, and Reesa; and Shari and Craig and their family. He was predeceased by his parents, Max and Sara; brother-in-law Baillie, and adored brother Nathan.
Rubin was born in Winnipeg but spent part of his life living in Arizona and New Westminster, B.C. He lived the last years of his life in the Shuswap area of B.C. Rubin found pleasure in John Wayne movies, 50s and 60s rock and roll, the Toronto Maple Leafs, watching football games, burgers and fries, animals, and socializing with friends. He was a whiz at rock'n'roll trivia and made beautiful speeches from his heart at special occasions. In the words of one friend, he was funny and smart. He was generous and loved his families. For those who were willing to listen, they learned a lot about themselves and about life from Rubin. No one can ask for a better legacy.
Rest in peace, Rubin;
you've earned it.

I got to know Rubin when I lived in the Tyndall Park cooperative. Humble and sweet, but funny and generous. He leaves behind a wonderful legacy of overcoming challenges, friendship, acceptance and a true heart...he will be missed... - Posted by: Cheryl (Friend) on: Jul 12, 2021
