  • I met and came to know Ian and Anita through the Irish Myst Choir and always enjoyed their company. Humour, humility, dedication, friendship and loyalty come to my mind when I think of them. • Ian and myself had a friendship going back 55 plus years. Have not seen him in many years, but remember many memories, the parties, the clean mischief we found together in school classes. We had many good times Ian, too many to list. You played the bagpipes at my wedding. Will never forget that surprise. Rest In Peace Ian - Posted by: Ken Owczar (Old Friend) on: Jul 17, 2021

  • I always enjoyed tilting a jar or two with Ian and Anita, usually at the pub quiz nights at the Irish club. He was a man of great knowledge, humor and humility. To Anita and family, my heart, thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time, he will be greatly missed. Heaven has it's pipe major. R.I.P. big man. • Farewell my friend. - Posted by: Martin Clark (Friend) on: Jul 17, 2021

  • How sad to lose such a wonderful person!!! Our memories go back even before his pipe band career. As kids we all went tobogganing... camping at Falcon Lake.. get togethers with the aunties' and uncles' playing cards while we played in the rec room. The list goes on from a very early age up to the present. To Anita, Shamus, Keegan, Heather, Paula .... keep your memories alive by talking about the good times to help cope with your loss.
