It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Marlyn Emily DeJonckheere on Wednesday, July 14, 2021.
She was born in St. Boniface, Winnipeg, Manitoba. As a young woman she met and married her true love George, and soon thereafter they had three children, Darcie, Rob and Doug. They created a life which led to heartfelt and lasting memories.
Marlyn was a spirited individual whose love of nature and animals led to amazing gardens and flower beds, and many cherished pets.
Marlyn is survived by her brother Robert and her children, Darcie and Doug, plus four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Marie Borsa, husband George and son Rob.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Victoria Hospital and Charleswood Care Home for doing their upmost to make her final months comfortable. A special thank you to Bernie and Lucy Gray for their kindness and support these recent years.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 23 at Green Acres Cemetery. If you are unable to attend, you may join us virtually at:
