May 24, 1977 - July 13, 2021
He is survived by his parents, Leonard and Sandra Schultz; and sisters, Andrea (Tony) Lofts and Nicole (Dave) Kolter.
Scott was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was interested in hockey, soccer and lacrosse.
In his early 20s, Scott was diagnosed with Schizophrenia. Scott struggled most of his life with the illness because he was on and off his medications and self-medicated with alcohol or street drugs. We always kept in contact with Scott by cell phone, supplying food and clothing and moving him when he got evicted. The last four or five years showed stability because his mother and Scott's nurse therapist for Psychiatric Health persuaded Scott to receive monthly intramuscular injection medications.
We always loved Scott and will miss him.
We hope he will now be at peace.
If friends so desire, donations in memory of Scott may be made to Peer Connections Manitoba, 4 Fort St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4L3.

Condolences & Memories (5 entries)
I remember playing hockey with Scott, we had the same strange looking helmets for a while. We played lacrosse in the hot Winnipeg summers. We got into some trouble as kids - getting caught by Sandra while we made prank calls from the family home phone, lighting fires in the shed while Nicole (maybe Andrea?) had to put it out with a watering can. I'm smiling remembering the fun we had and the trouble we got into twenty years ago. Thank you Scott for the memories. - Posted by: Kyle Mosley (Childhood Friend) on: Aug 09, 2021

Prayers are being sent to Scott’s mom in particular - know your love , advocacy and continued support for your son through his challenges had power far beyond the bonds of this physical world! May you find that place of peace within you to hold his memory and a place of gratitude for the time you shared -from one mom to another . - Posted by: Anonymous (Compassionate stranger) on: Jul 24, 2021
I am proud of your bravery. God will forgive you. I’m sorry for your pain on this earth and understand it fully. When life gets more painful than death and the possible unknown. Anyway, you are Scott now, no more stigma, just Scott and free and loving your new real life. God bless you Scott and maybe we’ll meet someday. - Posted by: Colleen (None on earth) on: Jul 24, 2021
