EDITH (EDIE) MARY MAXWELL
April 15, 1924 - Baldur, MB
July 26, 2021 - Calgary, AB
It is with profound sadness and deep sorrow the family of Edith (Edie) Mary Maxwell (nee Scott) announces her passing at the age of 97.
Edith was predeceased by her husband Robert, and leaves behind her three children, Donna Maxwell, Gary Maxwell (Jacqueline Nowlan) and Debby Maxwell, as well as her two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Clarice Maxwell.
Edith will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humour, her tenacious spirit and most of all her unconditional kindness. She will be sorely missed by her family, friends and all those who were fortunate enough to cross paths with Edith during her lifetime.
A special thank you to Auntie Margaret, cousins, Bev Lamb and Gordon Scott, Maggie O’Neill-Brown, Dr. Glenn Curtis, Foothills Medical Centre Unit 42 and Palliative Home Care for their amazing support and love given to Edith.
Cremation has taken place and no service will be held. We are blessed family and friends were able to spend time with Edith before her passing and at the end she was surrounded by her loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Legacy of Hope Foundation in honour of Edith or simply commit to live each day to the fullest.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)
Edie Maxwell was a very special lady. Not only was she kind, Edie was very witty. She welcomed our whole family into her home on numerous occasions. As military families, we were transferred over the years and our families crossed paths a few times. We met in Calgary in 1954 and from there we met again in Winnipeg and Ottawa. We kept in touch and are very lucky to have known Edie and her family. Love always, The Desnoyers - Posted by: The Desnoyers Family (Family friends for many years) on: Jul 30, 2021
