FREDERICK GAIL ACASTER

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Frederick Gail Acaster on July 21, 2021, at the age of 80, after a short hospital stay.
Gail is survived by his children, Gordon (Mel), Monique (Ed), Cynthia (Ian) and Chantelle, as well as seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his partner of 15 years, Lois and her children, Pamela, Laura (Hamlin), grandson Nicholas (Brittany), and great-grandson Nathan.
Gail worked for many years as a travelling salesman throughout Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan making many friends along the way. In his younger years he played basketball, hockey and curled. Gail had a passion for reading and loved nothing more than sitting in his big chair with a new book. Gail and Lois spent many winter holidays in Indian Shores, Florida. He loved every minute of his time spent there.
Gail will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He always had a big smile on his face and had a great sense of humour.
We love you and will hold you forever in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or the Winnipeg Humane Society.

  • Ah - I remember basketball player Gail from Churchill High in the very early '60s. He was on hiatus from his long-time girlfriend and took me on 1 date. Those vivid blue eyes were memorable! Glad to know he had a good life. - Posted by: Linda (Kerr) Strange (schoolmate) on: Jul 31, 2021
