WYLLA MAE WEBB
September 15, 1922 August 2, 2021
Wylla was born in Stockton, MB to Thomas and Myrtle Carroll. She grew up as the fifth of nine children growing up on a farm in Bagot. Life lessons learned there have served her well and helped build a strong and compassionate character.
During the war, Wylla worked at the R.C.A.F. base in Portage la Prairie before moving to Toronto. There she met and married Wilfrid. That began a new journey which led them and their six children to plant roots both in Manitoba and BC. Sadly, Wilf passed away in Victoria in 1987 and Wylla eventually returned to Winnipeg to be reunited with more of her family. Family was of the utmost importance for her and each new member was celebrated as a gift.
Wylla was predeceased by her husband, Wilfrid John, her daughter, Donna Marie, her sisters - Dot and Gladys, and brothers - Arn, Russ, Bus (George), Jack and Len. She is survived by her sister, Karen Boughton, her sons and daughters - Webster, Wanda Pickell (Jim), Wendy Webb, Graham (Catherine) and Carroll Poitras (Jean), and grandchildren - David, Jennifer, Bree, Blake, Nathan, Melissa, Deborah, Andrew, Stephen, Mary, Peter, Elizabeth, Joseph, Theresa, Matthew, Amelia and Adam, as well as many great-grandchildren and nephews and nieces.
We will keep her forever in our hearts. Special thanks to those who watched over Wylla at the Arms of the Cross and to all who lovingly cared for her at Misericordia Place.
A private service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Advocacy Centre for the Elderly at www.acelaw.ca. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.bardal.ca
