KEVIN MOFFATT GILCHRIST
July 17, 1959 - August 1, 2021
Kevin was a loving father and a devoted son and brother. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Jennifer (Dennis) and Kendralee (Omar); his beloved grandchildren, Dawson, Justyce, Jedidiah and Sophia; his father and mother, Roy and Joyce; his siblings, Michael (Nancy), Shelley (Gorden) and Melissa (Tyson), along with his many nieces, nephews, and countless friends. Kevin was predeceased by his brother, Graham.
Kevin was born in Winnipeg and lived in Vancouver, BC for many years before returning home to be near his family. He loved the mountains and spending time in the outdoors on long walks. Kevin was a highly skilled Red Seal journeyman painter - an accomplishment he shared with great pride. To know Kevin was to know a brave, loyal, and kind soul with an amazing sense of humour and generous spirit. He loved to laugh, but even more, he loved to make others smile. He will always be remembered for his genuine care and his spirited love of life. He will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
A private family service to celebrate Kevin's life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Kevin's name to the Kidney Foundation of Manitoba or the Cancer Research Society.

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)
Kevin was a good friend. We grew up together, played hockey for a number of years. He was an all round good guy. Gone to soon. Rest easy my friend. - Posted by: Terry Patton (Friend) on: Aug 09, 2021
Our sincere condolences go to the entire Gilchrist family. Kevin certainly loved to talk with all his friends and was so proud of his Red Seal Painting designation. Having been through some trying times in the past, Kevin rebounded and came out a winner, coming home to rebuild his life in the best way possible. I cherish the memories of the discussions we had by the back fence in the adjoining yards. Morris and I will certainly miss you and know that you will sit and chat with all that have gone before you in your family and the Burr family. You will all have a lot of catching up to do! Rest In Peace Kevin and we miss you! - Posted by: Michelle and Morris Robinson (Neighbor/school friend) on: Aug 08, 2021
