VIOLETA TORRES
December 27, 1941 - August 2, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister-in-law and aunt, Violeta Torres, who bravely fought and lost her battle with cancer.
Violeta (Violy) was predeceased by her father Leon; mother Escolastica, brothers, Dario and Reynaldo, and sister Ester (Ingaran).
She will be missed by her husband Jose Torres; daughter Janice Chin; son-in-law James Chin; grandsons, Jaden Chung, Rylin Chin and Kalen Chin; niece Arlene Daluz; great-nephew Shane Daluz, sister-in-law Lulu DeRose, niece Shelley DeRose, Desiree Ann Nounis, Maureen Harris, Chona Ramos and Dianne Guevarra and sisters, Lily Daluz, Elvie Anastacio and Zeniada Dela Paz, brothers, Ruben Dela Cruz, Antonio Dela Cruz, Danilo Dela Cruz and Rene Dela Cruz, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews in the Philippines.
Violy will always be remembered for her love of fashion, collection of bracelets, wallets and purses. She loved dancing, travelling and watching her grandsons play hockey. She was always there to lend a helping hand to her family and friends. She loved to sew and crochet, but what she loved most was her family. Violy was often shopping and eating out with her daughter and niece Arlene. Violy's pride and joy were her grandsons. She spent many years caring for Jaden, Rylin and Kalen.
Violy's legacy will live on through her grandsons and will always be remembered for being the monarch of the Torres family.
Nanay we will miss you so much, you will always be remembered for the love you showed your family. While our time with you was so short, we know you are with your Heavenly father, your parents and your siblings.
A private family service will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home with interment following at Glen Lawn Cemetery.
