BJARNASON: With great sadness we announce the passing of Linda Bjarnason (nee Robinson) on August 12, 2021 at Assiniboine Centre. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Linda was born in Brandon on November 10, 1946 to Ray and Betty Robinson. She taught school in Brandon School Division for many years and was loved by her students and fellow teachers alike. She is survived by her husband Dave and son Jeff (Monica). Jeff and Monica's daily visits were a source of constant comfort to Linda during her illness. She is also survived by her sister Donna (Dave Meighen). Linda had a special relationship with her nieces Linda Meighen (Andrew Naturkach) and Darcie Meighen (David Pankratz) and she was a "great" aunt to their children: Robinson, William, Leo, Lachlan and Isla. We have many wonderful memories to cherish and she will always be in our hearts. At Linda's request there will be no service and flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made in her memory to Brandon Humane Society.

Thinking of you David, Jeff and Monica. I have so many pleasant recollections of working with Linda over the years, first as her principal at George Fitton School and later when introducing on-line library service to the school division. It was great sharing office space with Linda and Dale Severyn. And who can forget Linda's take on Kaye Rowe at Fitton parties.
