KENNETH RIVEST

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ken Rivest on July 17, 2021.
Ken was born November 6, 1946 and lived his entire life in Winnipeg. He graduated from Churchill High School and attended the University of Manitoba and become a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA). He continued with professional development throughout much of his life. He also studied law and agriculture at the U of M.
He was employed at United Grain Growers for 33 years and retired as Corporate Controller. Ken also served in both the Air Cadets and Reserve. He loved animals, had many pets over the years and enjoyed being out in nature and his own backyard.
Ken was predeceased by his parents, Gaston and Marguerite Rivest and his beloved wife and soulmate of 30 years, Barbara.
He will be missed by his friend Richard, who he knew through most of his life, also his friend Janet and his cousin Jacqueline.
At Ken's request, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or CancerCare Manitoba.
Cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
