DWIGHT WADE KIRSCHMAN
October 30, 1962 - August 9, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dwight, loving son, brother, uncle, soulmate and friend.
He leaves to mourn his mother Marie, brother Clifford (Brenda), niece Brittney (CJ), nephew Brent; great-nieces, Bethanie and Alaina; soulmate Beatrice; sons, Rene (Regan and son Pryor aka Pedro), and Marcel (Leigh and kids, Everest, Tylee and Robert) as well as many family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his soul brothers, Glen, Dion and Jerry.
Dwight was predeceased by his father Clifford Sr., extended family and friends.
Dwight was raised in Balmoral, MB. He spent 20 plus years working at the Manitoba Youth Centre. He retired and bought property in the R.M of Piney where he spent his time hunting and fishing. He enjoyed the outdoors whether is was with family, friends or on his own. He had hay to bale that fed his small farm. He planted a garden and always had something to tinker around with on the property, with endless amounts of wood to cut.
We gratefully thank all our family and friends for their loving support and prayers.
As per Dwight's wishes, cremation will take place.
A funeral service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the charity of your choice.

Condolences & Memories (13 entries)

  • I have many fond memories of Dwight and "Cliffy" getting into mischief with my brothers and waking up on the couch or carpet at our house...having scavenged canned chicken from the basement and/or cleaned out the fridge of leftovers. To Marie, Clifford, Brenda, Beatrice and families: I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you during this Christmas season. - Posted by: Barb Melnychuk (Friend and neighbour) on: Dec 29, 2021

  • So sorry to hear this. May his memory be a blessing. - Posted by: James and Cindy (Cousin) on: Oct 04, 2021

  • I have fond memories of visiting my grandparents farm and spending time with Dwight and Cliff as they lived next door. Dwight often liked to tease and joke and at family get together he liked to play practical jokes on the younger cousins. “Let’s put some pepper in Maili’s pop,” and things like that. As he matured I appreciated that he’d stop in to visit my parents. I lived out of province for a number of years, but this picture reminds me of good times, building forts, hide and seek, snowmobiling, food and family. To all of Dwights’ family and friends, we want to send our condolences knowing that the loss of a loved one is especially difficult. - Posted by: Darlene and Bruce Peacock (Cousin) on: Aug 28, 2021

  • Dwight was a very dear and cherished friend. I just got the news today and am beside myself. Dwight and I met at Kerrick days and was a good friend right from the time we met. We kept in touch hroughout the years and spent many days hanging out on his property from quading to skeet shooting, gardening and great conversations around the table or bonfires or cooking up amazing meals together. I am torn at the news. Dwight, you were so loved, you know that and my heart is broken in peices that we won't have those deep conversations, laughs and even some times bickering back and forth. I miss you. - Posted by: Tamara L Mehling (Dear Friend) on: Aug 20, 2021

  • My condolences to you all. I can't imagine what you are going through. Dwight was an amazing person, he was so great to me and my brother. He pretty much took us under his wing and was a "dad" to us for many years. He was there when I had my son and when my mom died. He taught me to drive standard in his brand new truck no less- and laughed at me when I drove over Milt's front lawn (or was it Glen's). We still kept in touch, reaching out now and then to see how everyone was and birthday wishes. He was a genuine and thoughtful person who made an impact on my life and I am going to miss dearly. - Posted by: Charlotte (Friend) on: Aug 18, 2021
