FELICE FRANK NARDELLA
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Teresa, daughter Dorothy (Ron), son Tony (Kim), two grandchildren, Felicia, Tirrell (Danielle and daughter Danette) and two week old great-grandson Trey Nardella
Dad was born in Civita, Italy in 1935. He immigrated to Canada as a young man in 1955 and settled in Winnipeg. Dad worked very hard for the first two years to make enough money to send for his wife and daughter still in Italy. Felice started employment at a belt factory on Bannatyne Avenue for 50 cents an hour, then moved to Canadian linen. He then started at CP Rail while home schooling himself to earn his 3rd class engineering papers. He finally retired after working for the Winnipeg School Board.
He especially enjoyed spending time at the cottage in Ponemah, Manitoba. No project was too large from clearing the lot, living in a tent then in the garage till he built the cottage from the ground up.
Nonno always enjoyed spending time with family especially his grandchildren, Felicia and Tirrell. He always was willing to lend a helping hand and take the time to teach others what he had learned.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, August 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, viewing at 9:30 a.m.
Special thanks to the staff at Concordia Hospital N1 North
