Condolences & Memories (5 entries)
I had the privilege of having Mrs. Carnie as a teacher at Heritage Elementary School. She was a wonderful, kind and caring teacher! I still have the books she gave me from her trip to New Zealand. My very deepest sympathies to her family. - Posted by: Stacey Woods (former student) on: Sep 02, 2021
I had Mrs. Carnie in Grade 5 at Bedson School in Winnipeg. She was one of my favourite teachers and left quite an impression. I remember she would draw these characters that I would try to emulate. Mrs. Carnie was caring and inspiring, and she fostered my love of reading for which I continue to be grateful. I often wondered where she went after Bedson. My deepest sympathies to her family. - Posted by: Glynis Corkal (Student from Bedson) on: Sep 02, 2021
Mrs. Carnie was an incredible calming caring & compassionate influence for so many students over her career! My sister became an educator herself because she experienced such a great environment in Grade 1 with Mrs. Carnie at Bedson School in Winnipeg When I lost my dad in grade 5 while in her class that year, she made all the difference in the world - she was one of the BEST & I feel very blessed to have had her as a teacher/mentor. Can't imagine the great memories you get to hold onto of your mom from living in New Zealand, up North & while in Winnipeg! Our thoughts & prayers are with you Candace, your family & friends - Posted by: Laura (Routledge) Stephansson (student) on: Aug 26, 2021
