AUDREY JOAN CAMPBELL

In acknowledgement of a life well and fully lived, we announce the passing of Audrey Campbell, on August 13, 2021, surrounded by the love of her family.
Audrey was born on December 31, 1933, in Dauphin Manitoba, to Emily and Jim Clyde. As the tag-along child, she was an instant Aunt, and grew up surrounded by the affection of an extended family, her friends, and her church. Always outgoing, both kind and fun-loving, she made friends easily, and cherished them long.
After graduating from high school in Dauphin, she enrolled in the Registered Nursing program at Winnipeg General Hospital, where she added to her list of lifelong friends. During those years she also met the love of her life, Donald George Campbell, and soon after graduation added marriage and family to her busy life.
Even when she took a break from nursing to raise her young children, she continued with volunteer work in various forms. She was a natural and effective teacher and administrator. The highlight of her career was as Director of Nursing at St. Joseph's Residence.
Audrey's faith, family and friends framed her life. Her dedication and caring were unwavering, and she could be relied on to be true to her word, and to speak her mind with eloquence and conviction. She took every opportunity to travel, and delighted in sharing new places and experiences with her companions, especially Donald, and later her grandchildren.
Audrey will be remembered with great affection and with joy by her daughter Dawn (Daniel), grandchildren, Emily (Michael), Stephan (Petra) and Gwen (Taylor), her much-loved dispersed family, her church, and many dear friends.
At her request, cremation has taken place, and a small COVID-cautious gathering will follow.
