On July 29, 2021, Robert (Kip) Kipling's soul was united with our Heavenly Father. His wife of 43 years stayed by his side as he started his journey of eternal peace. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Valerie, daughter Shannon (Darwin), son Shawn, and grandchildren, Keira, Graysen and Charlotte.
Left to mourn his passing are sisters, Simone (Ashley), Lucy, Lynn (Jim), Mary Ellen, Deanne, Janice and Denice; brothers, Paul (Anita), Richard (Andrea), Phil (Michelle), Raymond, David, Delmar (Chrissy), John, Tony, Howard, Rick, Gerry, and Kelly, also numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents, Renee and Mary Jane, sister Florence and brother Kim.
Kip grew up in St. Boniface/St. Vital with siblings, Florence, Paul, Simone, Richard, Lucy, Phil, Raymond and David. Their house was always a flurry of activity. Kip was the oldest and was a wonderful big brother to them. He loved being around family and especially the family dinners! Kip and his wife met in 1976 and it was love at first sight. He was so proud when Shannon and Shawn were born, he would offer anybody a close-up of his babies and readily volunteered details about them. He would try to be so funny and loved to see them laugh throughout their lives. Poppa was so proud of his Kiki and Boy Boy, we always knew how much he truly loved all of us.
He loved fishing (Red River Kip), star gazing, camping and passed his passion for the outdoors to his children, son-in-law and grandchildren. He made so many friends at Tall Timber over the 31 years of being there; they all greatly impacted his life. Nobody passed our deck if Kip was out there, he loved stopping people to say hi or for a conversation. Kip was known for his sense of humour and quick one-liners, he often left friends and strangers in hysterics.
Kip had a lengthy career at Magellan Aerospace as a Spray Painter/Charge Hand. He took great pride in his painting and was never afraid to stand up for his co-workers. Kip didn't have fellow employees, he had friends. Kip kept in touch with many friends from his school years and looked forward to getting together to reminisce.
Our lives are forever changed, we will be forever grateful to him for fighting so hard to give us more time to love and be with him.
Funeral will take place August 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Temple, 400 Hargrave St., Winnipeg.

All may attend and masks are mandatory.
