MARGARET LESPERANCE
(SZWALUK)

Margaret Lesperance grew up on a farm near Shoal Lake, Manitoba, during the Depression. Margaret possessed a strength of character, love of God, and compassion for fellow human beings. As a Brandon University Alumni she had a successful career in teaching. Margaret was active in the community and generous with her time; e.g. Prairie Mountain Museum, Horticulture Society, Girl Guides. Margaret was an accomplished writer, an exceptional thinker, and a decorated Toastmaster. She connected easily with people from all walks of life and cared deeply for family and friends.
Thank-you to staff at St. Boniface CCU, Portage District General Hospital and Douglas Campbell Lodge for kindness and excellent care given to our Mom.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Just remember being 5 years old and staying at Uncle Paul's for the summer. Going over to uncle John's and meeting the number of children. Margaret being one of them. With cousins from Uncles Paul and John, we could have had a baseball game. The rows of raspberries also stick in my mind. - Posted by: Bill Wasylko (cousin) on: Aug 21, 2021
