KEITH CRAIG
He is survived by his devoted wife and "soul mate", Linda, as well as his beloved sons, Ryan and Colin (wife Rebekah and granddaughter Jane); sister Ruth (Lou Hogue); nieces, Laurie and Susan and their spouses, as well as many cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Mabel Craig. His cocker spaniel Higgins will miss Keith greatly.
Keith was a proud Daniel Mac graduate and enjoyed reminiscing about his football days and great times with "the guys".
Keith enjoyed his career as a teacher. He looked for the good in every student and had a gift for helping students who found academics challenging. He was very proud to be on the coaching staff of the first football team at Sturgeon Creek Collegiate. He was also seconded to the Department of Education for a period of time.
Keith was a lifelong learner and grateful that his iPad allowed him to peruse his many interests while retired. He was a skilled, self-taught carpenter who was very proud of the two-family cabins he built and the beautiful furniture he made. Retirement allowed him to enjoy weekly lunches and golf games with "the guys" - Bob, Dave and Leonard. Keith also loved attending Goldeyes games with Bill and Jean. Recent interests include flying drones and building intricate LEGO models with Ryan. Throughout his life Keith also loved to do oil painting especially scenery.
Keith and Linda celebrated their 50th Anniversary in April this year. With many common interests and adventures in life, Linda has many wonderful memories of times they shared.
Keith was a real health warrior and won his battles with two cancers. His family wish to sincerely thank Dr. Yip, his Rectal cancer specialist for his wonderful care and expertise and Dr. Hildebrand, his bladder cancer specialist for her wonderful care and expertise. We also express our gratitude to Dr. Paul at CancerCare for all his support and guidance.
In honour of Keith, please take some time and remember the wonderful times you shared with him.
In keeping with Keith's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
Our family would like to express sincere thanks and gratitude to the doctors and nurses in both the ER and ICU for their excellent care and compassion during this difficult time.
As Keith was a true dog lover (especially Golden Retrievers and Cocker Spaniels) memorial donations may be made in Keith's name to a dog rescue centre or shelter of your choice.

Don’t think o had seen or talked to Keith in over 50 years, Do remember our group at DMCI, we called ourselves the :snowballs: don’t know why. How proud we were when we got our maroon football jackets. I guess I could wax on for a while. However he has joined a great group of other snowballs. Andy Jackson, Syd Filmore, Charlie Lafleur and Bob Brockhill. I’m sure there are more and will be more. Enough!! - Posted by: Douglas Mills (Friend) on: Oct 01, 2021

My condolences to Linda, Colin, Ryan and the rest of the family. I will always remember time spent at the cabin with Keith and Tom as well, in the early days. It was a wonderful place to spend time as a child. Keith will be very missed. My father Glen passed in 2017. I know if he were still here, he would also want to send his best wishes to the family. He also enjoyed many happy days at the cabin. May you find comfort in this difficult time. - Posted by: Sean Powell (Cousin) on: Aug 23, 2021

I am so very sad to have learned of Keith's passing . Many memories have come flooding back of the times spent teaching with Keith who always remained calm and unflappable in times of seemingly utmost chaos, which happened now and again in junior high. He was an inspiration for me and taught us all a thing or two about 'patience'. My love and condolences to you Linda and to your family. You are in my thoughts. - Posted by: Alene Gold ( Whitlaw ) (former teaching colleague ) on: Aug 21, 2021

Keith has been my close friend for about 47 years. There are so many memories, hunting trips, carpentry jobs, shared interests and projects, lunches, baseball games. My mind is filled with fond remembrances. "I will miss him" is an understatement. My condolences to his family, especially Linda, Ryan and Colin. See you soon good friend. - Posted by: Bill Fisher (Friend) on: Aug 21, 2021
