It is with much sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of beloved mother and grandmother.
Mom was predeceased by her son Tim, sister Rose and brother John. Mom was from a blended family, which included step-brothers Max, with whom she was very close, Frank, Michael, Jake and Dominic, and step-sister Mary. She leaves to mourn her devoted daughter Janet; sons, Rick (Barb) and Brian; and grandchildren, Gina and Jonathan; as well as niece Donna and nephew Bob.
Mom grew up in Winnipeg's north end. She excelled in athletics and trained at the athletic club. This propelled her and her sister Rose to a gig travelling with Par Thorson and Reg Lowe all over the northwest performing in Par's Athletic Show.
Our mom was a good, kind person with a feisty attitude when required. She quit smoking at age 45 overnight, walked home from Broadway Ave. to Lyndale Dr. and Highfield St. during the blizzard of March 4, 1966. She went back to school to become an independent travel agent after working for the Bay for many years. Later on, she took up German lessons to regain some of her German heritage. She also took up the guitar and ukulele.
Mom was most proud of that time of her life, in her eighties, when she and Janet became very good at ballroom dancing at Arthur Murrays Dance Studio.

Our Mom was great,
we called her little Mim

Although small
You knew where she stood
She always did for us the very best
that she could
She had a great smile
That belied her heart
That of a tiger
When it was time for her part
Rest now little Mim safe with your God
You remain in our memories
And always in our hearts
