BROWN: Brian Wayne, beloved husband of Barb, passed away peacefully with family by his side at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Monday, August 23rd, 2021 at the age of 74 years. He was predeceased by his parents Charlie and Phyllis Brown, mother-in-law Myrtle Ross and father-in-law Keith Cook, sisters-in-law Terry Cook and Beverly Cook and brother-in-law Don Mar-tinook. Brian will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 25 years, Barb Brown; children Brad Keeble (Carla), Cory (Heather) Keeble, Dallas, Shaun and Amber Brown; grandchildren Dylan, Parker, Braden, Olivia and Jackson Keeble; sister Dawn (Ken) Minogue; sister-in-law Ellen (Al) Stevens; brother-in-law Bill Cook and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Brian was born and grew up in Brandon, Manitoba. He married the love of his life, Barb Brown (nee Cook) on January 27, 1996 after spending many years together. Brian worked 35 years for Simplot Canada until retirement. He enjoyed spring and summer fishing trips to Lake Athapapuskow and spending time with his family. Brian had a passion for watching hockey. He could always be found around the hockey rinks in Brandon watching his grandsons games. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. C. Minders and the incredible staff on 500 and palliative care at the Brandon Regional Health Centre for the wonderful care that Brian received. A celebration of Brian's Life will be held in the hall at the Central United Church (327-8th St. Brandon, Manitoba) on Monday, August 30th, 2021 from 2:00-4:00 pm. Refreshments will be served. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Brian may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Palliative Care Unit at the Brandon Regional Health Centre (150 McTavish Ave. E. Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 2B3) or a charity of your choice.

  • To Barb, Brad, Cory and families. It is a sad time with the passing of Brian. Hoping all your good memories will give you comfort and peace. We spent many a cold winters day in the rink watching Braden and Jac’s hockey together. Also our trips together to Mexico are such great memories. He was a good man.
