LARRIE CHUCHMACH
December 4, 1941 - August 26, 2021
Larrie shall be forever loved and greatly missed by his wife of 58 years, Patricia. He was a devoted father to son Loring (Tina), and daughter Nicole (Mike) and a very proud Gigi to his grandchildren, Cole, Julia, Noah, and Emma. He will also be missed by his brother Dennis (Linda), niece Sheri, and nephew Ryan.
Larrie was a kind, understanding man with a wonderfully mischievous sense of humour. He and Patricia travelled extensively and loved to reminisce and laugh about their many adventures. In his leisure time, Larrie enjoyed golf and was an avid curler in his younger years. He had very fond memories of participating in bonspiels and visiting rinks throughout Manitoba. He particularly enjoyed football - especially watching his favourite Winnipeg Blue Bombers. At home, he had fun fine-tuning his poker skills on his computer. Most of all, he enjoyed the company of family and friends. He dearly loved his wife, children, and grandchildren and showed them this, in words and action, each and every day.
A funeral service will be held at St. Basil's Ukrainian Catholic Church on Friday, September 3, 2021 with Rev. Fr. Mykhaylo Khomitskyy officiating.
Due to Covid, space is very limited. To join virtually:

we have him in our hearts,
we shall love you always.

I didn't know Larrie, but I always remember we (my brother and I) played against him about 25 years ago in the annual MCA bonspiel. (I could be wrong, but I think he played out of the Assiniboine Memorial CC and/or that might be where we played him in the bonspiel.) And I believe it was at the 1998 Brier at the old Winnipeg Arena. We were sitting in the north-end seats and Larrie was sitting a few seats away, and we struck up a conversation as we recognized each other from our previous single meeting on the pebbled ice! He was a super nice guy and I have no doubt he will be greatly missed by family and friends. Rest in peace Mr. Chuchmach. - Posted by: Bradley Pisiak (curler) on: Sep 02, 2021
