AUNTIE
SHARRIE STRAND
25 years ago today

The Rock in our lives, the voice of reason, we still can't comprehend your leaving.
Our daily chats for no reason, just to hear your voice was needed.
Your influence still shines bright, and when we each take that flight we have no doubt you'll be waiting with arms out.

Deep love
and respect
is what you get
when you've been the Greatest Aunt. Never forgotten . . . Barry, Frank, Rodney, Bruce,
Charlene, Nicole,
David, Jasson
and Scott

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • To my dear sweet Auntie Sharrie who passed on September 04, 1996…. I don’t think a lot of people know how much you sacrificed for your brother’s children, you made a promise to our Mother Dorothy that you would help Norman with the kids after she was gone….. you were only 26 years old and BOOM… you took the reins … at a time when our Dad was unable mentally to cope with the loss of our mother ….. I miss you terribly and wished more than anything that I could talk to you….. you were a powerful woman… something that I don’t think you realized …. Your loving guidance .. patience beyond words the always being there ….Looking back I didn’t want to believe it was true .. because you were the pillar of strength for us how could we believe you weren’t going to make it …. I know how blessed I was to have you for an Aunt…. In every sense of the word you became my Mother, I am the woman I am today because of you ….. I believe you are with me all the time ….. and even though 25 years have passed it feels like yesterday …. You taught me so much I will forever be grateful for you …. Your life and your legacy is proudly kept alive …… forever loving and missing you ….. your girl Charlene …. Xoxoxox 💜🌸🥰💕 - Posted by: Charlene (Niece) on: Sep 18, 2021
