GRACE MAY DODDS
Grace was born to Eve (Wakeford) and Frank Bromley in Transcona, Manitoba on September 5, 1920. On September 5, 1942, she married the love of her life LAC Vivien (Viv) Dodds. As Viv was in the Royal Canadian Air Force, they had a very interesting life living in communities right from Pat Bay on Vancouver Island and then the Queen Charlotte Islands, Prince Edward Island and many bases and communities across our great land.
Grace's life revolved around her husband and family, as well as her passion for music and children. Grace was a wonderful vocalist. She taught music lessons, sang and led many churches and community choirs. She taught preschool in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba and Cold Lake, Alberta. Viv and Grace also provided foster care for several children. She was also active in Girl Guides, bowling and square dancing. Grace enjoyed arts and crafts, including, knitting heavy weight sweaters.
Grace was predeceased by her husband Vivien Dodds; her parents, three sisters and brothers-in-law, one brother and sister-in-law, and her son-in-law Ronald Moen.
Grace is survived by two children, Rosemary Moen and Garry (Pat Zeeman) Dodds; five grandchildren, Douglas (Cheri) Moen, Debra (Tyler) Coupland, Rebecca Baerg, Breanne Dodds and Graeme Dodds; 12 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Also many nieces and nephews, and their families.
Funeral arrangements for Grace's family are presently being planned.
