GAIL ROSE HEYWOOD
1942 - 2021
Forever cherishing her memory is her beloved husband Brian of 56 years; daughter Karen (Brent) Borgfjord, granddaughter Amy (Mike), great-grandchildren Luke, Jack, Ayla and Milo; granddaughters, Ashley (Mitch) and Katie (Ethan), and grandson Stefan; daughter Brenda (John) Harris, granddaughters, Stephanie (Spencer) and Hannah (Jason); son Rob (Tom); and brother Jim (Colleen) Sculthorp.
Gail was predeceased by her parents, Hazel and Fred, and a grandson Ben.
Gail had a heart of gold and loved her family immensely. She was the best wife, mom, nana and nanny! We were the blessed ones to have her in our life. Her favourite place to be was anywhere the family was together. Trips to Disney, camping at Clear Lake and Blue Lake, road trips to the states, winters in Arizona and Texas, years at the cottage in Gimli and summers spent at Millers campground. She looked forward to every family birthday and occasion. Gail was the best baker (like her mom) and everyone was always excited when she brought some along. She loved to knit and we all have items at home that we cherish. Life will truly never be the same without her, we love her so much and she will be incredibly missed.
Cremation has taken place, a private interment and a Celebration of Life by invitation will be held due to covid restrictions.

To Brian and family, our thoughts and prayers are with you through this difficult time. We were neighbors at the cottage and so we got to know this lovely couple. They were very helpful to us when we first came to the area. We will always treasure their friendship. Sincerely Harry and Val de Beer. - Posted by: Valerie de Beer (cottage neighbor) on: Sep 06, 2021
I have known Brain and Gail for many years now and more recently my partner Elaine has been fortunate enough to have met them both. Gail always had a laugh that we could always feel the warmth and feeling in her. Gail was a wonderful mother, grandmother and wife to her husband, Brian. Her always pleasant mannerism and smile and laugh will be missed by all of us fortunate enough to have known her. Rest well Gail. Brain and family please know our thoughts with you all at this trying time. Your friends Jack and Elaine. - Posted by: Jack Reay and Elaine Bolter (Friends) on: Sep 05, 2021
