CAROL LOUISE MILES
May 4, 1952 September 2, 2021
September 2nd, 2021. 1 Peter 1:3-5
Carol leaves (to follow later) her sons,
Jason (Sara, Zoe, Devon) and Colin (Allison, Claire), siblings, Dennis (Marleen), Donna (Loris), Vicki (Marvin), Barry (Gloria), Jane (Terry), Mark (Shannon), many nephews and nieces and their families, aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends. She is so blessed with her precious sons, their wives and grand-children and wonderful family.
She was second child, first daughter to
Peter and Mary Hoeppner. She grew up in Winnipeg, enjoying family, career, and travel opportunities immensely. After retiring and with the blessing of her family, she
volunteered in Jerusalem, Israel for 6.5 years. She marvelled and loved how the Bible came alive through the land and people of
Israel and counted it a great privilege to
volunteer and study there.
The family wants to thank God's dream teams for prayer and encouragement,
medical expertise, and Divine help along the way. Special thanks to precious family and friends and all who walked this journey with her and prayed. To God be the Glory, great things He has done, is doing, will do.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Voice of the Martyrs, Seven Wells
Ministries, Domari Society of Gypsies in
Jerusalem, or Bridges for Peace, Canada.
Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ
Jesus our Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:55-57 - Oh death where is your sting, oh grave where is your victory...But thanks be to God, who gives us victory through Our Lord Jesus Christ.

My condolences to entire family. I have never met Carol's immediately family. Only seen photos and today glimpses on the zoom funeral service. A lovely lovely funeral which so well described Carol. The last time I spoke with Carol was at the Rosenort Teahouse along with some other cousins of ours. Carol will truly be missed by family and many others. Keeping family in my prayers and thoughts. - Posted by: Marty Penner (cousin) on: Sep 14, 2021

Carol was a dedicated God-loving friend. She was always kind and did good to people. She was so nice and was willing to improve herself. Since I met her in 2011, I saw how she stays on the road of love, how careful she is to make herself a better person every day. Her dedication to God and love was exemplary. She lives in our hearts forever. May God prevail her legacy in her beloved family. - Posted by: Mahdi (Friend) on: Sep 11, 2021

I met dear Carol when she came alongside with her Canadian friend, who was a co-worker with me at that time. From the first time I met her, I saw in Carol a real deep love for human beings and for my nation Israel especially. Her face would express this love in the most beautiful way - and she was totally sincere and pure. I found a consolation in Carol's heart, being a Jew like I am. Carol was very sensitive to the spiritual battle taking place and at times would feel that something is heavy above the Holy City of Jerusalem, where we served together. When she shared about the rescued ex-Muslim family, in which she had a part in their safety, I admired her courage, courage that is not common. She sacrificed herself for others in need and distress. In my book, the name of Carol will be mentioned as a "Light Tower". This is what Carol's personality means to me. May her blessed memory dwell in our hearts until we meet again. - Posted by: Eliezer Shai Ken (Co-worker) on: Sep 11, 2021

We just found out today 10/9/21 about Carol’s passing. We could write a book about our dear friend and sister Carol, as she was a frequent visitor to our home and congregation in Ariel, Israel She was a true soldier of the Lord with faith for the impossible and deep abiding love for the body, especially for those who were persecuted for their faith. She used her privileges and buddy passes on Air Canada completely for the glory of God. She was an essential part in the successful rescue of a persecuted ex Muslim family to Canada. She was a connector and trail blazer, and introduced us to many believers with whom we still have important connections today. She was sn important figure in our family’s lives. I, Leah had the privilege to reconnect with her the last few years, and although we mourn, we rejoice for Carol who has been released from her suffering and can now see her beloved Savior face to face and to hear the words “well done good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of the Lord”. May the comfort of the Holy Spirit be with her siblings and children during this difficult time. Isaiah 26:19 Yet we have this assurance: Those who belong to God shall live again. Their bodies shall rise again! Those who dwell in the dust shall awake and sing for joy! For God’s light of life will fall like dew upon them! - Posted by: David and Leah Ortiz (Friend and sister in the Lotf) on: Sep 10, 2021

Carol's battle with cancer was long but she demonstrated incredible courage and positivity through it all. It was a pleasure working with Carol. She always went the extra mile and always strived for perfection. But most wonderful of all......she always looked for the fun in life and she exuded "happiness" all the time. Condolences to her family and many friends. She will be missed. Jan Legeros - Posted by: Jan Legeros (employer) on: Sep 08, 2021

Carol Miles was a sincere Friend in the truest sense of the word. I'm sure one of her greatest of Verses in the Bible is Deuteronomy 6, the first few verses. "Hear of Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your Heart, Soul, Mind, and Strength." Our Savior Yeshua (Jesus) added in Matthew 22:39 "And to Love your Neighbor as yourself." This is what gave Carol such a great ability to love Others, both those in the Church she grew up in.... as well as her great love~ Serving Israel, and Loving those yet to discover Yeshua. Carol your Father will welcome you and the first words you will hear will be, "Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant, enter into the joy of your rest." No Goodbye~ only Until We Meet Again 💙🙏💙🙏💙🙏💙🙏💙🙏💙🙏 - Posted by: Daniel Riedner (Friend ) on: Sep 07, 2021

Carol showed great courage, hope and joy in the middle of much suffering. She never stopped caring for the spiritual needs of family and friends. Being in Calgary and she in Winnipeg, we did not connect often. But we have great memories of seeing her in person in May and again in July. Marleen's last words to her was that we hoped we did not see her again - in this life that is. She got her wish and obtained her promotion to a "land that is fairer than day". A place of no pain or suffering, and everlasting joy in the presence of our God and Savior. She is united with our parents and many others that have passed on before. May God answer Carol's prayers of concern and love for her family and many others. From your older brother. It was a true privilege to have known Carol and to be so very challenged by her heart for God's people and those she so wanted to become His people, as well as by the amazing way she met her health challenges with never failing faith. - Posted by: Patricia Psooy (friend) on: Sep 04, 2021
