ROBERT GORDON IVY

Robert Gordon Ivy "Bob," 81, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away peacefully and with dignity, Sunday, August 29, 2021, surrounded by loving family.
He was born to parents, James and Ann Francis Ivey on July 12, 1940 in Markland, Newfoundland.
Bob was a career soldier in the Canadian Armed Forces (Army) from 1958 to 1985. He was involved in peacekeeping operations around the globe. In retirement, he enjoyed 20 years with ANAF #60.
Bob was predeceased by his life partner and soul mate Melva Hayter and their beloved pets, Sparky and Baker. He leaves behind daughters, Cheryl (Mark) and Lynn (Jason); grandchildren, Megan (Bryce), Jake, Braden, Luke and blended family, Brenda, Miles and Michael, as well as many family members and friends back home in Newfoundland and here in Manitoba.
Much appreciation to the wonderful staff at Grace Hospital and Deer Lodge Centre for exemplary care and for "Making Lives Better." Special thanks to Bob's dear friends, Don, Rosie and neighbours for their love and support.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Winnipeg Humane Society or charity of your choice. Bob's and Melva's Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
