ELIZABETH GARCIA

Elizabeth was a beautiful soul who peacefully passed on September 4, 2021.
She was surrounded by her loving family during the last days of her life. Elizabeth was diagnosed with cancer the beginning of July. She remained a brave, iron-willed woman even throughout her final months.
She leaves behind her husband, Tomas Garcia; her daughters, Holly Thompson and Louielyn Garcia; her son, Lester Garcia, and two beautiful granddaughters, Alaya and Zel.
Elizabeth was an extraordinary woman. She was compassionate and was the life and soul of every party she attended. She was always there for all her friends when they needed a helping hand. Elizabeth welcomed many sponsors from the Philippines who wanted to start a new life in Canada and embraced them as her own family. She touched many lives and left a large imprint on everyone who had come to know her. We will forever remember her contagious laugh that filled every room with joy.
Elizabeth has gone on to greener pastures, however, here she will always remain in all our hearts, all our thoughts and will be forever loved.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Please RSVP to Chapel Lawn between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. as space is limited.

  • Elizabeth was such a beautiful spirit. She coordinated and personally cared for my grandmother at the end of her life. She also gave me comfort by sharing her wisdom and caring. We hope that your family is receiving that same comfort at this time, and know that so many will miss her and are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. - Posted by: Michelle Choch (Client) on: Sep 25, 2021
