ALINE AUDETTE
(née COURCELLES)

Aline passed away September 8, 2021, following a brief illness with cancer.
She is survived by her children, Gisèle Okrusko (David), Lise, Nicole Forsyth (David), Joanne Cyr (Gary), Jacques and Luc (Monique), and grandchildren, Danielle Parsons (Kevin and their child William), Kendra Okrusko, Natalie Audette and André Audette. She also leaves her brothers Emilien (Jeannette) and Réal, sister Alice, and sister-in-law Thelma, as well as many other members of the Courcelles and Audette families and numerous friends. She was predeceased by her husband Ernest on September 11, 2008, as well as by her parents, Ernest and Aurore (Massicotte) Courcelles Péloquin, sister Olive, brothers, Louis and Omer, and by many extended family members and friends.
Aline was born October 26, 1936 in Ste. Agathe living on a farm and spent her school years at the St. Adolphe Convent School. She married the love of her life after high school and raised six children in St. Pierre while supporting Ernest with the challenging work of a grain and hog farm as well as a plumbing and heating business. Over those years Mom and Dad enjoyed travelling on their own, as well as many adventures on our family camping trips. Early retirement led to the life of a snowbird enjoying golf, reading and knitting in Florida or Arizona.
In 1996 they moved to Winnipeg experiencing the city life while still using their country sanctuary at their lot in St. Pierre, Camp Bonheur. Many people enjoyed the fruits of her labour from her baking, gardening and especially her knitting. She loved holding our large noisy family gatherings especially at Christmas.
Thank you to the staff on N3 East at Concordia Hospital for their professional care and compassion.
Mom, you will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
A private family funeral will be held with interment in St. Pierre, Manitoba.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice in her memory.

  • We are saddened by the passing of your grande dame and matriarch, Aline. She was a blessing in our community and we will miss Aline’s beautiful face. Aline always had a smile and yet showed concern if she knew there was a difficulty going on. We admired her strength and courage and we will greatly miss her. Comfort and peace to you Jacques, and all of your families. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. • I fondly remember your Mom welcoming me with a big hug to the annual family corn fest which indeed was noisy from the jubilant Audette's all talking and laughing at the same time...
