NANCY ADELE HYATT
Nancy was born in Winnipeg on July 8, 1947 to Adele and Frederick James. She attended Munroe Junior High and Miles MacDonnell Collegiate in East Kildonan. From there she graduated from Success Commercial College.
Nancy married David in 1967 and together they had two children, Carissa and Kareen. She started work at Hughes Owens, and Shell Oil and then as an administrative assistant at the Prince Charles Educational Resource Centre with the Winnipeg School Division until she retired. Nancy always put her family first and was a wonderful, supportive and caring mother and grandmother. Not a day would go by when she was not thinking of some way to bring love and enjoyment to her family. Her love, concern and kindness toward others will always be remembered and cherished. Nancy had a great love for music and through this met many good friends online and in Winnipeg. This led to her attending concerts in the USA and Broadway plays in New York City with her friends and her husband where she created even more new and lasting friendships. Nancy was a proud member of CNIB.
Nancy was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her husband David; her daughters, Carissa Embury-Hyatt (John) and Kareen Dahlin (Jeff); her grandchildren, Ayla and Mia Embury-Hyatt and her mother Adele James. She was predeceased by her father Frederick and her brother Frederick Jr.
A private memorial service for the family will be held at Voyage Funeral Home on September 14, 2021.
A special thanks to the caregivers at Health Sciences Centre GH4 for their care and compassion and Pastor Philip Edwards of Seine River Church, Lorette.
Memorial donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.

David, Carissa and Kareen - we are so very sorry for your loss. While I haven't seen Nancy for many years, she was a beautiful, loving human being and a wonderful mother to Carissa, my dear friend who I do not see nearly enough, and Kareen. She will be greatly missed by her entire family and all those whose lives she touched. She had a great smile and a wonderful laugh - which will live on in the memories of those she knew and in the beautiful daughters and granddaughters that will carry on her legacy of love and laughter. With much love and hugs to you all in this time of sadness and loss, Candi - Posted by: Candi Bezte (Family Friend) on: Sep 12, 2021

Dear Dave and family. I met Nancy at Success Business College when we were both taking a secretarial course. We became fast, close friends. When having some family issues I lived with Nancy and her parents for awhile. I was at a dance with Nancy where The Pallbearers were playing and she met you Dave. I moved to Toronto, got married and had a child. After a few years we lost touch altho I visited you and Nancy when on a summer vacation. For some reason Nancy was on my mind so much this past June that I tracked her down on Facebook and will always be grateful for our chats and messages. My heart is sad for all of you with the loss of Nancy. Much love, Sharon Romanoff - Posted by: Sharon Romanoff (Friend) on: Sep 11, 2021
