DOUGLAS ALLEN COOPER
April 1, 1965 - September 3, 2021
He will be forever missed by his daughter Haley; spouse Lesley (Ryan and granddaughter Lucy); brother Kevin (Angie and Betker families); parents, Doug and Janet; ex-wife Keri; his beloved dogs, Ivy and Mini, along with many other family and friends, both in Winnipeg and The Pas. He was predeceased by his son Matthew in 2016.
Doug was a "life of the party" kind of guy. It was hard not to have a smile on your face being around him. He was always ready to share a good laugh and helping hand. A burly looking man, with a true heart of gold. He was always involved in sports, whether it be playing, coaching or in the beer gardens. He had a passion for the outdoors and loved to be on the water, with a fishing rod or two ready to go.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 19, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., JOHN OSBORN V.C. LEGION UNIT #1, 300-1395 Ellice Avenue.

Condolences & Memories (8 entries)
Terry (my husband) and I had the opportunity to meet and hang out with Doug for a few days at Clearwater Lake. Doug was welcoming and had an easiness about him which has left me to feel I knew Doug longer than we really did. Rest in peace big man. Lesley, my heart aches for you and your family. - Posted by: Yvette Weeks (Extended familY) on: Sep 16, 2021
My brother Ian & I extend our sincere condolences, we were shocked and saddened to hear of Doug's passing. I knew him from school, however my brother Ian hung out with him many times through mutual friends way back. He was always smiling and a great guy all around. He will be deeply missed. Please accept our sincere apologies and sympathy on the loss of your son, brother, father and spouse. Thinking of the many stories and laughs we shared, Doug filled a room with his presence and was always such a joy to be around. The world has lost one of its best. When I think of Doug, I think of the lake, and many days we hung out with Lesley. Doug, loved to BBQ and some of the best time were doing that with family. After we would watch a war movie or something, and talk about life and times. Many laughs were had. I hate to say goodbye, but I guess this is it. if I knew the last time was just that maybe I should have stayed longer. Rest in peace Doug it was a slice of life.
