Life is never easy and while it has been a number of years since I spent time with Matt - our last conversations - filled with honesty and truth and I believe happiness. I Met Matt In My Early Years When He Was Working In The Master Control Department Of APTN. We Used To Play Madden Football All The Time And I Remember He Invited Me And Another Co-worker to his house for a BBQ and playing video games kinda night. We Had Some Good Memories We Kept In touch throughout the years even after he left APTN. The last conversations we had were about his health and he said he had anywhere from months to years I told him I hope not he was still a young man. I can't believe that was only a small time ago and we also had a nice long time conversation around Easter talking about turkey dinners and the big meals we were both having he said he was gonna bring me some left over turkey but we never talked after that so I assumed there were no leftovers but that's the kind of friend he was he was always thinking of ours. I'm gonna miss him dearly. I love you Matt my friend I hope you're at Peace now. I will never forget you bud your pal John Courchene - Posted by: John (Friend ) on: Sep 16, 2021

I met Matt at APTN. We worked in different Departments... our paths crossed because the love of Football. He was a huge Odell Willis fan. If we ran into each in the elevator, we would always chat about the game before or upcoming game. Matt, started calling me Mama Bear and I took that as a highest compliment. He then became my "cub". We never lost touch after he left APTN. We continued to be friends. I always thought of him as a "kid" and as I am typing this...he is still a kid in my heart. My sincere condolences going to all his Thordarson family and his children. May you rest in paradise "cub". - Posted by: Arlene Mousseau (Friend) on: Sep 16, 2021

Sending my condolences to all who loved and were loved by Matt. We met through advocacy for indigenous issues. He interviewed me once or twice and used to ask me if I knew others for him to interview. I hadn't talked to him in years. I lost touch with many people in that time. But I will always remember his good nature in the time I knew him. Rest Matt. My prayers are with your family and loved ones ❤️🙏 - Posted by: Regina Atkinson Southwind (Friend/acquaintance) on: Sep 15, 2021
