NELLIE GESCHIERE
(nee MAARTENSE)
1927 - 2021

It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Nellie Geschiere at Riverview Personal Care Home on Monday, September 13, 2021. She is now safely in the arms of her saviour Jesus Christ.
Nellie will be sadly missed by her husband of 69 years, Cornelius, and children, Deane (Jake), Gilbert (Laurie) and Robert (Wilma); also grandchildren: Paul VanderHooft (Kelly), Tim VanderHooft (Jessie), Lisa Martin (Lyle), Stephanie Vandenberg (Luke), Shane Geschiere (Karen), Michelle Geschiere and Ian Geschiere, as well as 13 great-grandchildren. Nellie is survived by brothers, John Maartense and Carl Maartense, sister Diane Lagerwerf (Casey) and sister-in-law Levina Maartense.
Predeceased by brothers, Pieter, Art and Bill, as well as sister-in-law Bea Maartense.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the MS Society of Canada in Nellie's memory, mssociety.ca
A private family service followed by the burial will take place on Tuesday, September 21.
