It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Jo, on September 21, 2021 at Donwood Manor Personal Care Home, at the age of 85.
Jo will be lovingly remembered by her son Chris (Jacquie); daughter Coryn and many extended family members and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, George and Julia; her brother Bob and husband Dennis.
Jo was born in Winnipeg and grew up in the North End and Elmwood areas of the city, where she made long lasting friendships with the ladies of 'CLUB.' Her pride and joy was her family. Jo had a fun-loving spirit and she was always up for getting together for a few drinks, playing some slots and having lots of laughs. These times will be cherished always.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service held, in accordance with Jo's wishes.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or CancerCare Manitoba.
Special thank you to all the staff at Donwood Manor Personal Care Home for providing such compassionate care, you are true angels!

  • I'll never forget "Christmas in July" that Jo hosted, with all the wonderful holiday fixings as well as gifts for everybody! She was a great listener, with a beautiful laugh. I will miss sharing stories and seeing her bright smile. Rest in Peace Jo. ❤ - Posted by: Julie Kertesz (Friend) on: Sep 26, 2021

  • The ladies of CLUB were a special group. I know that Auntie Jo and mom will be getting the ladies back together for many laughs. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the family and friends that will give her the celebration of life that she deserved. Another angel has received her wings. Love all you ladies of CLUB - Posted by: Jeff Sydorchuk (Friend) on: Sep 26, 2021
