GORDON SANGUIN
June 21, 1930 September 9, 2021
Survived by his wife of 68 years, Betty, Gord leaves his children and their families: daughter Donna (husband Ron, Mark and Gord), son Bruce (wife Mia, Sarah), Dave (wife Margaret, Robyn, Erin), son Gary (wife Cindy, Kyle, Aynsley, Brett), daughter Lynda (husband Patric, Matthew, Karli), daughter Renee (husband Scott, Michael, Hannah).
Born in Trossachs, Saskatchewan, Gord was one of a large farm family of nine kids.
His early working years took him across the western prairies as an oil worker then settled in Winnipeg to begin his life as a teacher with Winnipeg 1 School Division. Here he established his identity with his unique growing plants program that cemented a lifelong identity of farm principles with his passion for organic gardening. Over three decades Gord planted, nurtured, picked and cleaned his own organic vegetables for his market garden business as well as his family's enjoyment.
Home life was everything to Gord. He always took time to know and learn as to what each of his kids and grandkids were up to.
Gord's love for family, life and others was unconditional. He welcomed family, family friends, relatives and strangers to the ever expanding center of his circle of life.
Gord was a spiritual person as well as a long standing member at Churchill Park United. His contributions as a church elder were valued. More recently Gordon was an important volunteer to Oak Table Community Ministry.
Be at peace husband, dad, brother, grampa. We are all better people for having had you in our lives Gord. For that we give you thanks.

Growing up I used to work the farmers market with Gord every Saturday. He let me help him for many years teaching me so much. He turned into a father figure to me and was one of the nicest person I ever knew. Rest easy Gord. I’m sure you’re in a beautiful garden now. - Posted by: Chris (Friend) on: Sep 28, 2021

Dear Betty and Family, I am so sorry to hear of Gord's passing. I worked with him at Aberdeen so many years ago and bowled with him and Betty in the Teachers Bowling League. Such fond memories of a great man, teacher and friend. - Posted by: Carol Gossel (Friend) on: Sep 28, 2021

I never forgot this family. Grew up with them as I was a youngster. Gord was such a nice guy. My condolences to the Sanguin family. - Posted by: Bill McCausland (Old friend of family) on: Sep 25, 2021
