Left to mourn Andrew's memory are his wife of 29 years, Patty; children, Cassidy (David) and Carter; brother Chris (Cathy), sister Brenda (Jim), and nieces and nephews. He was a great father, husband and friend who will be deeply missed.

  • Patty, Cassidy and Carter. Andrew was a great gentle man. You were blessed to have him as your husband and father. Your loss is so very great. Please reflect on the wonderful times you had with him. He never complained about the house full of people you invited in. Even when it interrupted his 5 am morning ritual. He was a kind, patient friend and parent. He was so easy going and helpful. When I would ask Patty if I could help cook the Safeway Party Dinners she would say “no I don’t need help I’ve got Andrew”. I remember the White Out parties we went to and all the good times we shared. Men like Andrew are few. Just as we all loved and leaned on him remember to lean on your friends and family now. My very deepest condolences. - Posted by: Penny penner (Friend ) on: Sep 28, 2021

  • Sorry to hear about the sudden loss. My heart goes out to Patty, Cassidy and Carter. I had the opportunity to get to know Andrew through the Ecole Assiniboine circle and through slo-pitch with the "Fearless" team. A wonderful man who will be missed by all who knew him. - Posted by: Greg Seguin (friend) on: Sep 28, 2021

  • Dear Patty, Cassidy, Carter and Family My heart goes out to all of you, on the tragic loss of Andrew. Being a part of The Laker Family AKA Life at the Lake we all got to know his smiling face, his boating skills, the beach fun filled antics, with Andrew always taking care of everyone. He was there to help my sister Lisa with her Sea Doo Boat on a few occasions, and most recently he dropped by to put air in her jeep tires. We always enjoyed seeing you guys on the High Seas of Lake Winnipeg and Spruce Sands. He was a man of kindness, always there to help with the best smile ever. He will be missed beyond words, and will always hold a special place in our hearts, for the love he had for family and friends. There is now a special star in heaven shining and grinning upon all of us! - Posted by: Lynda Shaw (Laker Friend) on: Sep 28, 2021

  • I’m a long time friend of Jim & Brenda, and met Andrew often hanging around at the Kelch’s house. He was a great guy with personality plus, and always had a smile. My deepest condolences to all of you who must be just shattered as he was taken way too soon. ❤️ Rob - Posted by: Rob Duncan (Friend of the family) on: Sep 28, 2021

  • Andrew and the Kelch family have always treated me like one of their own, and I will forever be grateful to all four of them for their generosity, hospitality, and kindness. It's been a privilege to grow up with Carter, and to always have Andrew around for a beach day, a good laugh or a ride on the boat. Andrew was there for me for as long as I can remember, and I'll cherish the memories made with him for the rest of my life. - Posted by: Bailey (friend) on: Sep 28, 2021

  • My condolences to Patty, the kids and the rest of the family. I have known Andrew for many years as our kids were in the same school together growing up and I played ball with first his wife Patty and then the last few years with the Macdon A's men's team. He truly was a down to earth guy and he will be sorely missed. - Posted by: Kirk Paquette (Friend- Team mate) on: Sep 28, 2021

  • Patti, Cassidy and Carter, we send you all our deepest condolences. We wish you love and light as you move through the days, weeks, months ahead. We will miss our friendly chats with Andrew as he passed by our place. Always a smile on his face, a friendly conversation and that there was just no better place to be, than at the lake. Your friends Dan, Laurie, Carter and Owen - Posted by: Dan, Laurie, Carter and Owen Jaman (Lake Friends) on: Sep 27, 2021

  • I worked with Andrew awhile back while I was first starting my career as an electrician. Being so new to the industry, I was intimidated on the job site but Andrew made me feel better. Andrew always had a positive attitude, very understanding, great patience, kept the mood light while being a great teacher. Andrew was always the most approachable person on site and never made you feel bad for asking questions or not knowing something and always understanding. Going to work was made easier because of Andrew, he was a work father figure to me. I am forever grateful that I got to meet and become union brothers with Andrew. I send positive vibes (because Andrew would always do the same thing when work was rough) to all of Andrew's family and friends. May he Rest In Power. - Posted by: Pat (Co worker) on: Sep 27, 2021

  • So sorry to here of your loss. Our thoughts and prayers go with you. Val & Pat - Posted by: Patrick Mercier (Friend) on: Sep 27, 2021

We will miss seeing the two you together on your walks at Spruce Sands and on the beach having fun in the sun. Shawn and Sharon (B37) - Posted by: Shawn and Sharon (Friend) on: Sep 25, 2021
