MARGARET MARION HOLLIDAY
March 31, 1925 September 23, 2021
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Jane Holliday, Alex (Barbara) Holliday, Jenny (Ab) Chudley and Judie (Kevin) Holliday; her daughter-in-law Laurie Moxham; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband Brian Frederick Douglas, her son Brian, her sister Jean Colburn, her nephew Don and her great-grandson Justin.
Margaret was born in Hamilton, Ontario, the daughter of Alex and Nessie Ramsay. Margaret met Brian just prior to his deployment to Burma during the Second World War. Two weeks after Brian's return, they were married in Hamilton on July 22, 1944. For over 70 years Mum supported Brian and family as they moved from Burlington, ON to Winnipeg, MB to Fort Frances, ON, to Calgary, AB and to Kelowna, BC. Margaret spent her last few years in Winnipeg. Margaret had a lifelong interest in music and singing, and directed the choir at St. Christopher's Anglican Church in Burlington for many years.
She loved, listened to, encouraged and prayed for family and friends and delighted in hearing about the accomplishments of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family is grateful for the loving care Mum received from the staff at Riverview Health Centre.
A celebration of Margaret's life will take place with family and friends at St. Andrew's-on-the-Red Anglican Church at a later date; the Rev. Merv Lanctot officiating.
I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. (2 Tim 4:7)

I was so saddened to see that Margaret had passed away. Jane had told me she was doing so well and I had hoped to see her again once the Covid regulations had eased. I enjoyed Margaret very much and the time we were able to spend together. My sincere condolences to all of the family for the loss of your matriarch. Best wishes to all. - Posted by: Jackie Cantin (Friend/former employee of the Canoe Club) on: Oct 15, 2021
