For many years we have been Tomberli's neighbours at Wallace Lake. We will fondly remember Idiano driving by with a smile and a wave or stopping for a chat, the main topic being , "How is the fishing?" May memories bring you comfort. Our thoughts are with you. Sincere sympathy, Rod & Darlene Waldbauer - Posted by: Rod & Darlene Waldbauer (Neighbours at Wallace Lake) on: Oct 08, 2021

I worked with Idiano for a number of summers in the early 70's at Eaton's Service Building in the Boat and Motor Installation and Repair Department. I remember him as the friendly giant...strong as an ox, always pleasant and kind and loved working on anything mechanical. He always talked about his babies, Bruno and Mario. I think Maria called him every day with updates on what the boys were doing. It was so nice running into Mario at Legacy Bowes a number of years to catch up on any news about his father. Idiano had just returned from a trip to Italy and was enjoying retirement. I have met and forgotten many people during my working life, but I will always remember Idiano. Rest in peace my friend. My condolences to Maria, Bruno, Mario and their families. - Posted by: Gary Hamilton (Co-worker) on: Oct 03, 2021

Fond Memories of life at the lake, shared memories and enjoyment at Wallace Lake Provincial Park........Our cottage deck floor was made from old furnace stones from St. Boniface Hospital......Idiano use to come by every once in a while and wanted to buy them from us, he wanted to build his Pizza Oven at the cottage.....Well after a while we finally gave in and let him have them.....He was in his glory .....and built his oven later that summer .. .....he got many years of enjoyment from it, hope he has one where he is now.......God bless, old friend - Posted by: Rick & Barb Storie (Fellow Cottage owner) on: Oct 02, 2021
