LEONA DOREEN LAVALLEE
(née CRAVEN)

After a long life in good health, Leona, 87, died on September 26, 2021, at Health Sciences Centre. Until a stroke three weeks earlier, she had been very active.
Leona was born near Pierson, Manitoba, April 15, 1934. She attended Brandon College, graduated from Success Business College, and worked as a secretary at United College. In 1956, she backpacked through Europe and even worked in London.
In 1959, Leona married Aimé Lavallée and spent the majority of her career with the Department of Agriculture. She enjoyed genealogy, renovations, curling, movies, and computers.
Leona was predeceased by Aimé in 2001, parents, Vina (Dandy) and Guy Craven, and brother Earl. She is survived by son Albert, daughter Vaudree, grandchildren, John, Kevin, and Marina, sisters-in-law, Noreen and Raymonde, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Sincere thanks to the caring staff of HSC GH 6 and 7. Leona requested no formal service. Her ashes will join Aimé's at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice. This obituary may also be viewed at ejcoutu.ca
