February 27, 1944 - September 27, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bev Fyfe on September 27, 2021. Bev passed peacefully, with his wife and daughter by his side.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Gisele; and children, Debbie Feisst (Steve), Robert Fyfe, Danial Fyfe, Daniel Therrien (Jacqueline Chénier), Denise Laurin (Lance Lywak), Carole Laurin; and his 10 grandchildren, Christian Laurin, Chloé Barre, Michael Fyfe, Sébastien Therrien, Camryn Fyfe, Evan Lywak, Mathieu Therrien, Grace Feisst, Corbin Feisst, and Gabrielle Therrien. Bev was predeceased by his infant daughter Shannon.
Bev lived a full and colourful life. He loved throwing theme parties and his goal was to ensure everyone had a great time and was well fed…30 years later people still reminisce about those "Think Pink" and "Freeze Your Buns Off" parties. His generous personality and desire to please everyone who touched his life was evident in our collection of patio umbrellas, bug zappers and quirky appliances that Bev just had to share with the people he loved. His positivity and overall curiosity were infectious. If you needed help, Mr. Fyfe was there willing to do anything to help, and this was reflective both in his work life and personal life.
Dad had a lifelong relationship with nature and a love of the outdoors that he shared with his children. He was a master storyteller and we were captivated by his many adventurous tales that involved bears, lightning strikes and daring escapes on snowmobile. Family was very important to him and he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and taking them to museums, historic sites, buffets that included cotton candy and of course, fishing at the lake. We will treasure these memories for a lifetime.
Bev had a very successful career in the steel industry with Westman Steel and was forever blessed to have worked with the Westman family.
He will be forever missed by his wife Gisele (Giggs) and the rest of his very large extended family and friends.

Bev, thank you for the great times,
wonderful memories and for all your kindness, we shall miss and love you always.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Siloam Mission which was an organization dear to Bev.
Due to pandemic restrictions, the service will be private, family only. The Celebration of Life will be livestreamed at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 8, 2021 and you can access the Livestream link at in the Upcoming Services tab.

  • Dear Gisele, I am so sorry for your loss! Love Lucille💘💝 - Posted by: Lucille Emond Merritt (Cousin) on: Oct 25, 2021

  • We were very saddened to hear of Bev's passing but know he's now pain free and at peace. We first met Bev in the 70's when I became a treasured member of the "Fakawi Canoe Club", resulting in numerous summer and winter fishing trips and great adventures led by Bev. He encouraged us to obtain our cottage lot at Booster Lake, then helped us clear the property and build the cottage and boathouse, providing leadership, guidance, equipment and the use of his cottage until ours was habitable. We enjoyed many years of Bev and Gigg's hospitality and friendship. They hold a special place in our family's lives and our adult children still call them "Uncle Bev and Auntie Giggs". Bev supported and helped so many people in his lifetime and touched us all with his leadership, kindness and support. Our sincere condolences go to Giggs and their whole family. Bev will remain in our hearts and minds. Rest in peace dear friend! - Posted by: Colleen and Cam Malcolmson (Family Friends) on: Oct 09, 2021

  • I was so sorry to hear Bev passed away. My sincere condolences to you Giggs and to the whole family from our family. Bev was so much more than just a great friend to me. I had so many great times with him especially snowmobiling and being around him at Club (Nopiming Snomads) events at Bird Lake. He was a mentor and educator teaching me a lot about whole bunch of things including the steel business, helping others, contributing and living life to the fullest. I'll be missing you ol'buddy. • Gisele and family, my deepest condolences on Bev's passing. I worked under Bev for several years at Westman Steel. He was a great mentor, leader and best boss I ever had. Bev gave me my big break and it was never forgotten. Rest in peace Bev! - Posted by: Juice Lambert (Former employee) on: Oct 05, 2021

  • Dear Giggs and Family, When I first moved to Winnipeg, and became the wife of a member of the "Fishing Buddies" Giggs and Bev welcomed me with open arms. At one of the parties they held at their home, Bev presented me with a welcoming gift of a buffalo pie. Bev had gone to great lengths to find this for me, and at first I was offended but then I started to understand what a great sense of humour Bev and Giggs both had. I later showed it off at our cottage at Lac Lu, Ontario. We had some great times, he will be missed by many. Thanks for the memories. With Love always. • We are very sad to hear of Bev’s passing. Our condolences to the whole family as we know he will be very missed. Bev holds a special place in our hearts for the wonderful things he did for us personally and with the snowmobile community at and around Bird Lake. He was a very generous man who never wanted recognition. We know he has been suffering from extreme pain and know he is pain free and watching over his beloved family. We feel blessed to have been a part of his life. Take care of each other and know we are thinking of you especially Giggs. - Posted by: Wendy and Arnold Dietz (Friends ) on: Oct 04, 2021

  • Giggs, Deb, and family sorry for your loss. Bev was no doubt larger then life and had a heart just as big to go with that personality. A man who could hold the attention of all in the room was a man to be respected. Glad to have been able to meet him and spend time around him. Bev will be missed but not forgotten. Thoughts go out to the family. - Posted by: Shane Lywak (Friend) on: Oct 04, 2021

  • I’m so sad to see this notice today. I have the fondest childhood memories of being at Bird Lake with Uncle Bev and Auntie Giggs and my parents. Uncle Bev would tirelessly pull my brother and I behind the boat and was the first person to get me up on water skis. Much later on in life - I had to be in my early 20s by then - I ran into he and auntie at a restaurant and he surprised me by picking up the tab for my entire table of friends. He was the kindest, most generous man. The world is a little less bright today. Rest easy, Uncle. Boundless condolences, Auntie. I love you both.xo - Posted by: Dana Tucker Khan (Honourary Niece ) on: Oct 02, 2021
