Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • To the Dufort Family, My deepest condolences on the passing of your Dad, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and cousin. I will always remember his love and kindness for his family. - Posted by: Eleanor Medway (Friend ) on: Nov 01, 2021

  • Dufort family; condolences on the passing of Gil. I will always remember Gil's big smile and his ability to see the best in everyone. The endless happy stories about his grandchildren, his cars and boat. Gil told me he enjoyed watching his "other child," Dufort Industries, grow and succeed during his time there and after he retired. Gil was also proud of his "extended family", the staff at Dufort Industries. The stories, the optimism, and living in the present moment were traits of Gil which I admired. - Posted by: John Milinkovic (friend) on: Oct 05, 2021

  • Gil was a good friend and we shared many, many evenings full of discussion and laughter and good times at TC. He was a kind and gentle man who carried himself with class. He will be missed. Condolences to the family. - Posted by: Ian Graham (Friend) on: Oct 03, 2021

  • I've known Gil for almost 50 years. I met Gil, his dad Maurice and his brother Claude in 1972 when they owned Dufort Distributors. I was selling boats at Leisure Time Centre later Leisure Time Marine. We purchased nearly all of our marine accessories and Prince Craft boats from them. They were great people to work with and it was an honour to have known them. I regret not having seen Gil in the last few years. I ran into him and Maurice at the Winnipeg boat show and it was great to catch up. Gil was truly a great person and he will missed. My respects go out to his family.
