With sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Numi, on September 30, 2021.
Numi grew up on the family farm in the Markland district where he was born June 9, 1932. There he farmed alongside his brother Hjortur for many years. Although now retired he was always interested in hearing about farming.
Predeceased by his parents, Benjamin and Helga (Josefsdottier), as well as nine siblings. He is survived by his best friend and partner Elizabeth Baliant, as well as many nephews and nieces.
We would like to thank Dr. Fulmore and nurses in the dialysis unit as well as the staff in the palliative care unit at the Gimli Community Health Centre, your care and compassion is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation, Manitoba Branch or to a charity of one's choice.
Cremation has taken place and as per Numi's request there will be no service.
