October 1, 2021 at the age of 69, David Knight passed away peacefully with his loving wife at his side. After a long battle with cancer, his life was unfairly cut short.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Connie; brothers, Don and Grant (Kim) Knight; sisters, Pat (Ron) Keller, Marlene Rieger and Carol Wazny; stepsons, Grant and Blair Moor; mother-in-law Olga Hildebrand; brother-in-law Ken (Bev) Hildebrand; sisters-in-law, Donna and Noreen Aikman; plus many nieces, nephews and their families.
He grew up with a great family and enjoyed an active childhood with the neighbourhood kids. The Weston Group remain friends to this date. He was fortunate enough to meet his second love of his life... Connie. They clicked right away. They both loved travel and adventure. He loved his RVs and over the last ten years, they managed to cover most of Canada and the US in their journeys. This past year, enjoying the beauty of Manitoba. They established several "homes" and extended family including Arizona and Mexico.
He enjoyed golf, fishing with his brothers and nephew Sean, learning to play both guitar and ukulele and dancing with his sweetheart.
He was considered a highly respected realtor at Royal LePage by both his peers and clients and served the Winnipeg area for 31 years. Eventually retiring, they moved full time to their special spot in Winnipeg Beach. Their little home became a favourite spot for family and friends to meet on the deck and enjoy the company.
Anyone who knew Dave was touched by his kindness, his caring personality and easy going, fun loving character. He touched the lives of so many through his business, travels and most importantly his relationships.
When you think of Dave, celebrate the good memories. He chose to live life to the fullest and treasured those he loved. We will miss him dearly, but are so grateful for the time we had to spend with him.
A special thank you to dear friends, George and Coleen Todd, Betty Loewen and Marcel Vinck for their care and compassion. A loving thanks to brother Don, who called regularly and could always get him smiling and laughing.
As per Dave's request, no service will be held. A Celebration of Life for family and close friends will be arranged at a later date. Those wishing to honour his life can make a donation in his name to a charity of your choice.

  • So sad to hear of David’s passing! He was a gentleman and an honest honourable real estate agent. Don’t know anyone that could dispute that. RIP my friend! - Posted by: Ron Derksen (Fellow ®️Realtor ) on: Oct 14, 2021

  • So saddened to hear of Dave's passing. Condolences go out to Connie and his family. I had the great pleasure of working with Dave at Royal LePage Prime. He kindly extended a hand to me as a new realtor. Dave was a pleasure to work with, kind, generous, understanding and knowledgeable. We occasionally ran into Dave and Connie out for a walk or at the Bandstand in Winnipeg Beach after we both retired. Dave and Connie seemed to be enjoying his retirement so much it hurts the heart that his time was cut so short. - Posted by: Sharon Jackson (Co-worker) on: Oct 13, 2021

  • Very sad to hear that David has passed. We knew him and Andrea from the early days at Bird's Hill Insurance. David was a great person and it was a privilege to know him.
